TAU 900 OPTIC Photocell Sensor – Italian-Engineered Synchronized Gate Safety Technology
TAU 900 OPTIC is a professional photocell safety sensor designed to improve obstacle detection and operational safety in compatible automatic gate, door or barrier systems. It uses infrared or optical detection technology to monitor the protected opening and provide a safety signal to the automation controller when the beam is interrupted.
Developed with Italian-engineered synchronized gate safety technology, the TAU 900 OPTIC is suitable for professional automation projects in the United Arab Emirates. Key verified technical characteristics include a specified detection range of 20 m, power supply: 12/24 v. The final safety response—such as stopping, preventing closing or reversing movement—is determined by the connected control board and its programming.

Frequently Asked Questions About TAU 900 OPTIC
What is the TAU 900 OPTIC used for?
It is used as an optical safety sensor for compatible automatic gate, door or barrier systems. When the protected beam is interrupted, the sensor changes its safety output or BUS status so the control board can react according to its programmed logic.
What is the detection range of the TAU 900 OPTIC?
The verified specification for this model is 20 m. Actual reliable range can be affected by alignment, installation geometry, weather, contamination and the exact product variant.
What power supply or connection does the TAU 900 OPTIC use?
Power Supply: 12/24 V. Always follow the exact terminal diagram for the supplied version and the connected gate control board.
Can the TAU 900 OPTIC be used with sliding and swing gates?
It can be used where the automation controller is electrically and functionally compatible with this sensor. Compatibility should be checked by control-board model rather than by gate type alone.
Is installation support available in the United Arab Emirates?
Yes. Professional compatibility checking, installation, alignment, programming support and safety testing can be arranged for suitable automation systems across the United Arab Emirates.
